Babymel baby Changing bags – The Katie

I have been drooling over this for days, I am getting a red pushchair/pram so the red accents on the strap would go really well.  Trouble is, I already have a the Babymel satchel changing bad in red stripe and I have no need for a second one.

I also love the bows vintage version of the 'Big Slouchy' by Babymel.  I definitely couldn't justify getting 2 more changing bags, the other half would notice that for sure!

I think that changing bags could be my new obsession......

The dreaded stretch marks

Well I knew they were coming, I thought I had fully prepared myself for it and yet when I happened to spy my first stretch marks in the mirror this morning I was devastated!!

They are only small, probably only 1cm long at the moment and there is two of them. They are an inch either side of my belly button and the untrained eye (my partner) would probably pass them off as a crease mark from clothing, but that's not what they are.

Being 35wks pregnant I'm not exactly small and I should count myself lucky that I've got them them this late but there was a tiny little part of me that was hoping to avoid them altogether. Naive I know, especially since I got loads during puberty and my Mum got a lot during all of her pregnancies so it was destined to happen.

Doesn't explain why I feel so crappy about it though. I know I'll come to terms with them gradually and will hopefully get to the stage where I can wear my tiger stripes with pride but for now I shall continue to feel a bit emotional and somewhat overwhelmed by all of the changes my body has gone through.

Hopes and dreams

Exciting times ahead, I'm 35wks pregnant today and cannot wait for the arrival of my little bundle of love.

It has taken a lot of up's and downs to get to this point. That is why I am re-starting my blog. I am in a much better position personally and emotionally and can (currently) give my blog the time it deserves. I imagine that once the baby has arrived things will change on that score however I get so much enjoyment from blogging that I am going to ensure that I am still able to spend a little time every day indulging in my passion.

I have so many ideas for posts bubbling away in my brain and so many parenting/baby related questions for other bloggers that I can't wait to get started. I have always seen blogs as a way of indulging your lives whilst learning more about your favoured topics. I am an avid blog reader/follower and have picked up so much along my conception and pregnancy journey by reading about others experiences.

Please forgive me if the look of my blog changes over the coming weeks, I am trying to find a look that reflects me personally rather than just using the standard template but I'm not very technical so it may take me a while! I would also really welcome feedback about the content and layout of my blog. Please get in touch if you have any constructive feedback for me, this is a learning process after all

Thanks for reading
