36wks today

The time is gradually ticking down, it doesn't seem real somehow but there are only 4 weeks til our due date.

I am trying to keep busy and fill my time by pottering about in the (still very untidy) nursery and by making some last minute purchases for baby and me!

My latest fixation is getting a different changing bag. I have a red stripey babymel satchel but now I want a babymel Katie in tan or big slouchy in bows vintage. Or maybe even a pink lining yummy mummy in red or grey bows. Decisions, decisions. The other half would be outraged if I spent £80 on another changing bag but I wonder if he would even notice??!!

In the last week I have also pretty much bought shares in The Gro Company as I have bought their blackout blind, swaddle wraps and room thermometer. Hope they all prove to be worthwhile purchases.  I have also bought a snooze shade for the pram as recommended in Gina Ford's book 'The new contented little baby' this item seems to be a great idea and I really hope I get a lot of use out of it.

In a bid to occupy my time (and stop me spending money!) I went swimming this morning for the first time in a year, it was great, felt so nice to spend 45mins with no aches and pains. My hips have been really playing up in the last few weeks and I'm so glad I've found a way of getting some relief. It has also made me think even more about a water birth, or at least being in the pool for some of the time to see if it can provide similar relief during labour. I think I'm going to have to look into this a little more.
